Summer Offers for families from NeuroConnect CIC
This Summer there are lots of opportunities for families to access fully funded support spaces with NeuroConnect CIC, as well as a specialist musical theatre provision they are running in Ashill Village Hall.
BRITTONS ASH COMMUNITY HALL
NeuroConnect are listed on the Healthy Happy Holidays Programme running free to access spaces in Brittons Ash Community Hall, all focusing on being a flexible environment and specialist SEND provision with our neurodivergent lead team 11-3pm on;
6th August – Singing even if it feels silly! (age 13+ years)
13th August with Creative Minds – Using arts and crafts, focusing on wellbeing and regulation. (8-12 years)
20th August with Creative Minds (8-12 years)
27th August with Creative Minds (13+ years)
MAIDENBROOK COUNTRY PARK

The Maidenbrook Country Park forest school groups will have an integration of our training in Forest School and EcoSensory Therapy within the activities we provide. Refreshments and snacks offered.
The Clockwork Cafe: Musical Theatre Adventure

What you should know:
*Support for young people who may typically find a performing overwhelming or may have barriers to attending due to SEND/neurodiversity or anxiety
*We are flexible about parents and carers need to stay and support
*Audio recordings and resources to prepare children for what to expect shared before our time together to familiarise with the songs at home
*Direction from an experienced Musical Director and Drama Director leading the session with full sound, lighting and equipment
*The opportunity to create a show together and production of a video recording to have something special to show for it!
*Support of staff from NeuroConnect joining in and also feeling awkward and silly but really wanting to do it with you anyway!
*Cost includes 2 days of workshop; resources to familiarise yourself with before the workshop; video recording of the final production; snacks and drinks
*Children will need to bring a packed lunch
Led by experienced practitioners, this two-day musical theatre workshop will provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where children can build confidence, develop friendships, and explore their creativity through music, drama, movement, and storytelling.
Over the two days, participants will work together to bring to life an original musical adventure: The Clockwork Café. When the town’s famous Clockwork Café is threatened with closure because its magical clock has stopped working, a group of children discover that the clock runs not on gears, but on creativity, friendship, music, and courage. Together, they must repair it before midnight.
Activities will be adapted to meet individual needs, allowing participants to engage in ways that feel comfortable while encouraging them to try new experiences, develop their skills, and express themselves creatively.
This workshop is suitable for young people aged 8–15 years. To support learning and participation, all attendees will have access to rehearsal tracks, video resources, and practice scripts throughout the workshop period, enabling them to become familiar with the songs, scenes, and characters at their own pace.
No previous performing arts experience is required – just a love of music, imagination, and having fun. We celebrate each child’s unique strengths and aim to create opportunities for every participant to grow in confidence and shine in their own way.
