World Wars and Cheddon Fitzpaine
The presentation will make reference to the villagers who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. A discussion on the preparations for an expected invasion including the secret Auxiliary Unit, who were specially trained guerrilla fighters, and the Special Duties Branch of military intelligence. Both of these had bases in Cheddon. The presentation will be interspersed with interesting anecdotes. Entry free but a donation to St Mary`s Church appreciated.
