News from across Taunton
Anti-social behaviour incidents can cause great concern and distress in our neighbourhoods, particularly at this time of year – Halloween and Bonfire Night.

To try and deter any anti-social behaviour in Taunton, we were joined this month by Police Horses from our Mounted section. The poor weather didn’t put them off and they were joined by a couple of PCSOs for some foot patrol.

More serious incidents can occur from escalating anti-social behaviour and it is our priority that we are in the right place at the right time to reduce the effects of this and try and prevent incidents from happening.

News from the Beat
More bike marking carried out this month by PCSO Tony at a care establishment in response to concerns over bike thefts.

We’re prioritising our patrols at Hankridge to try and deter nuisance vehicles and inappropriate use of the car parks. We’ve also increased our patrols in the Hatch Beauchamp area following a few reports of thefts of fuel.

PCSOs Tony and Steve have also been visiting Hyde Lane play area in Creech St Michael due to reports of youths acting anti-socially.

With the winter and wetter months on the doorstep, here’s a reminder to check your vehicle and make sure it is road safe. This is what you should be checking:

• Tyre pressure
• Tyre tread depth
• Oil level
• Windscreen wiper fluid
• Windscreen wipers
• Lights
• Vehicle in a relatively clean state
