New Year Update from Maidenbrook Country Park and the Somerset Wood
Well 2025 has certainly been a year with plenty to fill a Christmas letter to friends and family – highlights (and sadly lowlights) abound – and we’ve all achieved a great deal over the last 12 months here at Maidenbrook Country Park.
Planting across various zones kept volunteers in a steady stream of work, whilst developments within our memorial areas (particularly the Falklands and WWII) has been both inspired and inspiring.
It’s wonderful to see so many visitors still taking the time to read the extensive and interesting information available along our Memorial Walk.
A busy year of events also gave plenty of wonderful opportunities for us to engage with visitors and members of the public, and showcase this jewel of a Park as a centrepiece for local communities.
Here’s to a busy yet productive 2026, with plenty to keep us occupied!
