Number 12 Bus Route – new timetable from November
As many residents will know, the number 12 bus which serves our Parish has been funded by original monies from the Monkton Heathfield 1 developers, with the service being operated by Somerset Council. With funds reducing over the delivery of the service, Somerset Council has looked to prolong the continuation of the route by making reductions to the operating timetable.
At recent Parish Council meetings we have heard from several residents who are frequent users of the service, which currently operates at times and on a route not entirely covered by Buses of Somerset 21/ 21A, and we have been liaising with Somerset Council in order to protect some of the proposed reductions, whilst also being mindful of the reducing money from which this service is funded.
