My name is Toni-Lee and I work within the Volunteering team in RNID – I had been in touch previously about volunteering opportunities coming up and we now have a bit more information around areas.

Somerset West is a key area at the moment with the hope of expanding out, if we are able to get the volunteer capacity to support us with this.

This is the aforementioned volunteering opportunity for an RNID care home service opening soon.

This hopes to be a help for care home residents, their families and staff within care homes, delivered by a staff member and trained volunteers offering;

• Information on hearing loss, tinnitus and hearing aids
• Hearing checks
• Information on support and services in your area

We have a lot of volunteer opportunities that will be coming out across Somerset, RNID Near You volunteer, Somerset – RNID and I am reaching out to connect with those that might want to know more about getting involved, find out more about our services or help us deliver the service to those that need it.

I have attached a Volunteering leaflet with further information, but I wanted to connect with people and organisations locally in advance to connect and find out how best I can get the word out to the community, or spread the awareness of Deafness/hearing loss and tinnitus 😊
