The Community Food Box initiative launched by the Parish Council across December was widely supported, with lots of wonderful food donations arriving at the BACH centre during the first week of January.

The Parish Council would like to thank every family who brought along a box or bag of food to support the scheme – volunteers from the Parish Council were able to put together a great number of food boxes ready for distribution to vulnerable families in our local community, working alongside our partners at West Monkton Primary School.

The initiative has also very kindly been the recent recipient of a financial donation from a local business, which will ensure that as future need is identified by the schools, the Parish Council will be able to continue to support those in need throughout the year.

Again, our heartfelt thanks to all those who made donations to the initiative.
