We are thinking about starting a community fridge here in West Monkton Parish but need some help. We are looking for people who perhaps work at a local supermarket or similar and would be prepared to collect items that would normally be thrown out and stock our fridge or perhaps you have some spare time and are willing to go and collect unused produce form local shops. The aim is to reduce waste in our community. We would also like to use with fridge within the Parish for you to bring things that you would have otherwise thrown away to share with others in the community. We know that this goes on already and see many a basket or box out in the summer sharing home grown produce and similar.
