For the past 10 weeks, anyone passing through West Monkton will probably have seen a colourful blackboard at the end of the church drive and hopefully will have paused a while to read it.  We are all too aware that the church is hidden from general view and the board was borne out of a desire to draw attention to the entrance and, by hopefully provoking interest and a welcoming presence, might encourage someone to pay a visit.  The quotes are chosen to be either thought provoking, encouraging, supporting and occasionally amusing.  Whatever you think of them, we hope they might cause you to “pause for thought” and/or come and join us, where a warm welcome will await.
