Join West Monkton Parish Council and St Giles Animal Welfare at Maidenbrook Country Park on Sunday 1st September for a fun-filled day celebrating our furry friends. Bring your dog along for a chance to win exciting prizes in various categories like Best in Show, Waggiest Tail, and Best Trick.

Don’t have a dog? No problem! Enjoy the fete with food stalls, games, and entertainment for the whole family. It’s going to be a paw-some day, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out!

Mel O’Sullivan from St Giles Animal Welfare commented: “We all had such an enjoyable time last summer at the first fun dog show we held in partnership with West Monkton Parish Council and we have been keen to repeat the fun this year. The shows are a perfect opportunity to highlight the vital work of St Giles Animal Welfare and the community outreach of the Parish Council, as well of course, as being able to make use of Maidenbrook Country Park which is such a great space.”

Kate Welsh, Community Clerk for West Monkton Parish Council added “We were thrilled that Mel and the team were keen to collaborate with us again this year – everyone who came along last year had a happy day out – whether on two legs or four! Maidenbrook Country Park is a real asset to our area and the grant we have recently received from the National Lottery Community Fund will enable us to keep the park looking good, support our wonderful volunteers and make improvements so that we can continue to hold fun activities for all the community.”
